Lost lake is another great place off the Barrett lake jeep trail.
near 7500 feet. Difficulty is high for driving it. Takes several hours depending on conditions and About a 6 mile walk one way if you hike it.
Barrett Lake is one of my favorite places. I can’t wait every year for it to open. Normally opens in late July or August when it dries out.I have already been twice this year
I decided there needs to be another cache in this area. The jeep trail is rated a 10 out of 10 for its difficulty. You can really hike it faster than you could drive. But what fun would that be? Lost lake is located .2 miles north of Barrett Lake. One of the best views of the crystal range .
Trail to lost lake starts behind the rest room at Barrett lake. Really a hard trail to follow! very few people travel it.
If you have time bring your wilderness permit and walk up the trail from Barrett lake camping area past Lawrence lake about 1 mile to a Airplane that Crashed in 1969 really neat: N 38 55.201 W 120 14.185 is location for the airplane
