Geocache Description:

April 16, 2022: Replaced and relocated. The cache area is highly exposed... Beware of muggles! Please replace as you found it. Enjoy!

Wow, how this place has changed since 2008! There are now 3 developed trailheads - one on the East side on E. Lincoln Rd, and another on the West side at the end of E. Brevier Rd, and a South trailhead near the bend of Flora Rd and Wellesley Ave.
The Tower Road trail from the west trailhead is about 1.75 miles in length and about 1150 ft. elevation gain.
Hikers, cyclists, and horses allowed - no motor vehicles. Please keep dogs on a leash.
The trail is mostly shaded by trees until near and at the summit.
Some nice views of the Spokane Valley and on a clear day Steptoe Butte can be seen in the distance to the south.
There are several other geocaches to hunt along the way. ******************************************************************************************************* ORIGINAL POST FROM 08/08/2008 - (The cache has now been relocated three times since)
From the Conservation Futures website:
"On August 17, 2007 – Spokane County officials announced that they have closed on the purchase of 385 acres from Timberwood Ranches LLC on Antione Peak. The purchase completes Phase 1 of the Antione Peak project and is the latest addition to the county’s Conservation Futures program.
Antione Peak is a 3,375 foot mountain in the Spokane Valley between Lincoln and Forker Roads. The 385 acres are located on the north side of the mountain with views of Mt. Spokane, a five-acre pond, and several miles of existing roads and trails that will be open for non-motorized recreation (hikers, bikers, skiers, horseback riders, etc.).
It is considered to be an Urban Wildlife Habitat and is home to Moose, Elk, Bear and other species. County staff will soon be working on providing access to the conservation area from Lincoln Road on the east side of the property.
Driving Directions: Drive east on Trent Ave, take a left on Campbell Rd, and left on Lincoln Rd, at a jog on Lincoln Rd there is a gate to this property. The gate is locked at this time until improvements can be made. It is possible to walk around the gate and explore this new property."
Not much room along the road to park near the gate, try to park down the road where it's safer.
There is an old No Trespassing sign near the gate, but it is obviously from previous land owners as it has grown into the tree. Please respect the No Trespassing signs (more recently placed) to the east and to the south of the property.
I included a few items for emergency tire repairs. Please leave them in the cache, unless of course you have a puncture in need of repair - then just let me know what needs replenished.
