This cache is nicknamed the 7 C's because it is "The Carroltown
Container Challenge for Cambria County Cache Creation."
The purpose of the cache is the increase of geocaching in
Cambria County and the surrounding areas. At this point, we have
found all but ten or twenty of the caches in Cambria County,
meaning that if we want to cache, we must choose between a walk of
a few miles and a drive of several miles (neither conducive to the
craziness of life). So, we have provided twenty caching containers
of various size and shapes, so whether you enjoy cache and dashes,
or object to them as a matter of conscience, there should be a
container here for everyone to place, so that there can be more
caching fun for all of us!
The first stage is a regular cache hidden in the American Legion
Park in Carroltown. The second stage is a micro, containing only a
log, hidden at the same coordinates. To gain your smiley, find both
stages one and two, sign the log, and rehide the log.
Our hope with this hide is that each finder will take a cache
container from the first stage container and use it to place a new
cache. If you do so, let us know the number on the container you
take (which will help us know when to replenish the cache), and
we'll look forward to making a new find once it's placed!
Please be sure to rehide the container as well as possible after
you have found both stages one and two. Depending on when you
visit, there may be muggles in the area, so please use stealth if
necessary.
