Random Stuffed Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ChipnDonna: This past week I've been retiring my geocaches. I've got an achy (but not breaky - so far) hip that is severely limiting my ability to maintain these caches. So I am cleaning them out and archiving them.

Geocache Description:

An ammo box stuffed with stuff. Choose path to cache carefully to avoid PO.

It was a clear and sunny Friday in Aug. My granddaughters and I were out walking and decided to do something with the day. So we gathered some random stuff (potpourri) from home and stuffed them in an ammo box.

The initial stuff includes: sea shells, a "rare" pushed metal lion pin, a pull and release badge holder, a "professionally made" (by No. 1 granddaughter) glow-in-the-dark beaded lizard, a hawaiian shirt note pad, skull, compass, and random school supplies.

We walked the trails of Picchetti Ranch Open Space Preserve, eating wild blackberries, watching the peacocks and picnickers, and looking for a likely hiding spot for our cache that did not require exposure to the ubiquitous PO along most trails. We mostly succeeded in finding a good spot, but choose your path carefully by looking for a tree with a "window" in it 25 ft from the main trail. Head directly toward it, and you will not have a PO problem. Do not follow the other well developed "deer" trail through the PO.
