Bienvenidos a otro cache, esta vez en el pueblo de Mayagüez nuevamente tratando de aumentar el numero en este pueblo del oeste. Diciendo presente en el caching al oeste de Puerto Rico. Este cache esta bien pegadito de la calle que casi lo puedes cogerle desde el auto, pero como no saben donde esta tienen que bajarse. El cache esta colocado en un punto alto conduciendo hacia el pueblo de Cabo Rojo. Desde este lugar puedes ver el Mall de Mayagüez hasta Punta Algarrobo en el Bo. Mani. Miren a ver si pueden identificar punto específicos de Mayagüez desde aquí.

Origen de la Sultana del Oeste
La ciudad e Mayagüez fue fundada en 1760 con el nombre de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, pero el uso frecuente de los habitantes del nombre "en la Ribera de Mayagüez", hoy se le conoce con el nombre de Mayagüez que significa sitio de aguas. El iniciador de su fundación fue don Faustino Matos. Hoy día se le conoce como: "La Sultana del Oeste", "EL Pueblo del mangó", "La Ciudad de los Indios", El Pueblo de la Sangría" o "La Villa del Brazo Gitano".

Welcome to another cache, this time in the town of Mayagüez again trying to enlarge the number in this town of the west. Saying present in the sport of geocaching, the west coast of Puerto Rico. This cache is very close to the street, you can almost reach it from your car, but as you don’t know where it is, you have to get out. The cache is placed at a high point conducting toward the town of Cabo Rojo. From this place you can see the Mall of Mayagüez to the tip of “Punta Algarrobo” in the community of “El Mani”. Origin of the Sultana of the West
The city and Mayagüez was founded in 1760 with the name of Our Lady of the Candelaria, but the frequent use of the inhabitants of the name "in the Bank of Mayagüez", today it is known with the name of Mayagüez that signifies place of water. The initiator of this foundation was Mr. Faustino Matos. Nowadays it is recognized by: "The Sultana of the West", "The Town of the mango", "The City of the Indians", The Town of the Sangria" or "The Village of Brazo Gitano".
