Mermaids Glade is located at the birth of the Cape Fear river
At the confluence of the Haw and Deep rivers the Cape Fear river is born. At this location there is a glade which was commonly referred to as Mermaids point.
I encourage you to visit this cache from the river, any of the three rivers! Access from the water may be a bit tricky, but can be accomplished.
