This is a 30 cal. ammo can hidden in
the Yanahli Wildlife Management Area and overlooks the scenic Duck
River. Parking can be found about 2000 feet down Clifford Craig Rd
where the road is closed off. The cache is another 3800 feet down
the road/trail. This is a great area for exploring on mountain
bikes. The cache is in a washout, so it may not be accessable in
heavy rains but it is high enough that the Duck shouldn't reach it
when flooded. Its near a small island that can be walked to when
the river is low. Please replace cache as you found it
Original contents are log, pencil
& sharpener (please don't remove), CITO trash bags, a couple
older DVDs, foreign coins, a computer game, wooden golf tees,
compass zipper pull, spinner lure, Southwest Airlines drink
coupons, some other small toys and a neat FTF prize (if you like
woodworking). There are also some AAA & AA batteries if your
GPSr is hungry
3800 feet can be a lot harder that
you think (especially if you have a wooden leg); a water bottle
would be useful during the hot summer months. Since this is TWRA
land, there is hunting, be careful during hunting seasons and wear
bright orange items to not be confused with game. Information on
hunting seasons can be found
here.
Congrats go to tnt4utvols for being the first to find!
