This site is located in Perry County near the Cumberland County border. It is in State Game Lands No. 170. Take Lambs Gap Road from Cumberland County or Perry County. You get a good view from Blue Mountain on Lambs Gap Road. At the top of the mountain stay on the main road which bears to the right. Park at N 40° 18.856' and W 077° 00.233'. Do not park in front of the gate leading to the trail.
Wear florescent orange clothing in hunting season. Hunting season occurs at various times during the year. Check the Game Commission Web site. Or go on Sunday when there is no hunting. There are a few trees fallen across the trail. There are many small streams but they are not too difficult to cross. In places the trail becomes a stream and there are muddy places in other areas. But you can walk on the side of the trail to get around these places. This all dries up after a period of little rain. I would recommend a pair of waterproof hiking shoes.
You don't see Trout Run until you are right on top of the cache. Try to avoid stepping on the ferns.
The cache is in a clear container with a blue rim. It is smaller than some caches so please place small items in it. Please rehide this cache so that it can't be seen.
