Located near to the bridge on the A686 at Langwathby, the cache is a nice drive by cache which may take a little bit of climbing through undergrowth depending on how high the river is.
Celebrating the lovely River Eden we have placed a number of caches which afford some spectacular views of this river. This one is best visited early in the morning or late on the evening. Herons, swans and even otters are regular sights in this area. The view from the bridge is also great with the kids being able to see fish when the water is clear.
Please be aware the river can rise quite high here and can be very fast flowing. Please take care if you have small children. When placing the cache the river was very high and the cache can be approached without having to get your feet wet!
