m3a9: Unfortunately, I've decided to archive this listing for now. Since this is the first geocache I ever placed, it's a little bittersweet, but I'm not able to replace the cache as I want to at this time and need a chance to check out the area for some new spots. It's been disabled for far too long. I will be returning to the area in less than 2 months, at which point I will be able to better investigate my options here. In the meantime, thank you to all the cachers who came to visit this one! [:D]

Geocache Description:

This cache is just a short walk in the woods behind Shawnee Park in Roaring Spring.

Our very first geocache hide, the container is a clear plastic Lock & Lock box containing various small items. It is, as the name indicates, located near the small waterfall in these woods, a really neat spot. Please be sure the container is re-hidden well from all angles to deter muggles. Enjoy the area.

The terrain in this area consists of several steep slopes, so be careful! There are flatter, more roundabout ways of getting to the spot without taking risks. Watch your footing on the rocky (and sometimes muddy, snowy, icy...) paths. You will need to cross the creek to obtain the cache, which isn't far from the water...I've done it easily many times in sandals, sneakers, or wading boots. It may be more difficult to find and/or access in the wintertime.

The waypoint is averaged as best as possible, just use your caching senses when you are close. Many cachers have had trouble locating this one, so I welcome anyone that has a more accurate waypoint for GZ to post it with your log. Remember, there's no need to climb the hillsides; stay near the falls and the prize will be yours.
