Wow! A cache right off I-43! So tempting as you speed on by...but
how the heck do you get there???? This is a micro cache, cemetery
hide. As always, not on or connected to any gravestone. Be
respectful of the cemetery and anyone visiting it.
This cemetery is known as Kassa Cemetery, although there is only
one "Kassa" buried within it.
This was a more peaceful place before the interstate went running
through the front yard. But such is progress. Take the time to look
around. This cache is a bit harder to find than most of our WSQs.
You are looking for a camoed bison tube.
About WSQ Caches
WSQ stands for "Wisconsin Spirit Quest, which is used by many
Wisconsin cemetery cache owners. The number after WSQ is an
arbitrary number to make it easy on users of older GPSrs to sort
the cache. After that comes the name of the Township, then comes
the name of the cemetery.
There are many rural cemeteries in Wisconsin. Geocaching is a great
way to get out and see some of these remote places, discover some
interesting and unique markers, and to help ensure that those that
have gone before us are not forgotten. With cemetery caches, the
cache container is not hidden on or connected in any way to any
grave site or marker. Occasionally, some information from a marker
may be used to obtain final cache coordinates. Please be respectful
of the cemetery and anyone visiting it.
These caches are designed to be easy to find, are usually a
container and log only, and focus on rural cemeteries. Also, any
multi-stage caches are designed to bring you to special features of
a particular cemetery. The purpose is to help remember those who
have gone before us and to get you out to some unfamiliar
places.
