Geocache Description:

You will find the cache near the path to the beach

Small plastic container with log book and small items be careful when looking for this cache sometimes there are muggles during the summer

On the 5th January 1993, the Braer Oil Tanker, On route from Mongstad, Norway to Quebec, Canada, ran ashore at Garths Ness, south OF Shetland, seen by Quendale beach, whilst carrying 85,000 tonnes of crude oil. The oil had reached the southern tip of Burra Isle on the west coast and Lambhoga Head on the east coast. A helicopter tried to spray a very small quantity of dispersant close to the wreck, but this had to be abandoned due to the adverse weather conditions.
Many locals had to help the sea birds and marine life. Many animals had died
