Geocache Description:

Micro only. Tough reception. BYOP

About this series:

B.A.C. stands for Bike and Cache.  I and my  11 year old son B.J. also known to local caches as one of the “Geo-Dawgs” was working on his Cycling Merit Badge for scouts.  In that we had to do two 10 mile rides, two 15 mile rides, two 25 mile rides, and one 50 mile ride.

As we were looking for trails to ride, of course we looked for caches along the way.  In some area there just weren’t enough caches so we thought that we would place some as we went.

You don’t have to do the caches on a bike.   You can drive within walking distance of all of them.  But if you want to make a memorable afternoon and save some fossil fuel I would recommend the bike ride.  There are also many other caches on this trail that are not mine.  Use your mapping feature to collect all of them before you head out and you can get some good numbers for the day.

Some of the caches are micros, some small, and some regular.   (You will notice there are no puzzle caches.  That’s cuz I’m from Hooper and I’m not bright enough to figure them out, let alone post one).

Some of them are simple 1X1’s and some are more evil.

About this B.A.C Cache:

B.A.C. Fish On! cache is located along the Weber River.  Actually at the time of posting this cache, it was at the end of the trail, but they will be adding on soon. This is a fairly easy cache and shouldn’t be that hard with the exception of the reception.   I took several reading to get these but my GPSr was still showing + or – 50 feet.  For that reason I am giving it the rating  of 2 on the difficulty.  I am also providing a good hint for those wishing to use one.  Bring a scribble stick along.  Respect the area as we enjoy the art work  and informational signs along the trail.  West Haven City is working on the Weber River park of this trail and doing an awesome job.  If you see the workers, stop and say thanks.
