Geocache Description:

The Ghost Stories caches are intended to bring you to some not so frequently visited places in our area and learn of some of the legends involving the area. If you know of any good ghost stories maybe they would make good cache hides, as well.
These containers are all small and intended to be easy finds. We hope you enjoy your self and don’t get too spooked out. (Lil’ KM99 came along to place these caches and she only ran off screaming once)

The stories regarding this haunted ex-pizza place can be found at this site: www.epinions/content_6819778180

"One might not notice anything unusual about a certain pizza place that lies within the outskirts of northern Springdale, Arkansas. But to many former workers of that restaurant, they know there is something not quite right there. Strange and bizarre happenings have occurred during the day and night shifts that have been witnessed by several. With an occasional visit, one might not notice anything special about this place. It seems the longer one is around it though, the more drastic his/her mood becomes. Personalities even change. People seemingly do things one would never expect them to ever do. Once calm and level headed people turn into moody, unpredictable demeanor.
The Tale of the Dancing Lights
When my mother was a little girl, she heard of stories from her brothers, sisters, and cousins that saw what they called “dancing lights” out in a field beyond where they lived. Springdale has changed much over the years, and where they lived now sits rows of houses and an apartment complex. This was the country back in the 1930’s through the 1940’s. A wagon was hitched to go into “town” once a week; however, walking was their main mode of transportation.

My aunts and uncles would roam fields and woods for entertainment and sometimes would come home later than they should. Sometimes it would become dark before they arrived safely at home. It was one of these times that my family saw these mysterious “dancing lights”. Since most of my family is dead and my mother never saw these lights since she was too small to go exploring with her older siblings, she told me of this tale from her memories of what her brothers and sisters told her of their experiences.

These lights were seen around the area of the now standing Pizza Hut. No one knows if there is a connection between the two. There is only speculation."

This pizza place is now closed and the building is for sale. The cache is hidden nearby in a place cachers really like to frequent for some reason. For those of you who have lived in Springdale for many years you might wonder if those dancing lights were the teens cruising around the Vic-Mon....
