Geocache Description:

The Odlum Creek South Ridge Summit Cache is located at the top of a high backcountry ridge with portions of the route involving a ford, two sections of bushwhacking and a steep climb through the forest to the summit ridge. Appropriate care and attention are required at all times on a hike of this nature. Be sure to wear good hiking boots, have trekking poles and appropriate backcountry supplies with lots of water.

The road to the trailhead is closed from December 1 through June 15 each year.

The Odlum Creek South Ridge Summit Cache is a good sized LnL container with a FTF prize and a number of small trading items (pens) for cachers who make this fantastic hike. The cache was placed to encourage cachers to visit the near by Brass Cap Cache GC43F3 - (BCP376).

Parking for the cache is available in the Lantern Creek Day Use parking area and coordinates for key spots on the trail to the ridge have been added to the waypoints list for this cache. There may be other access points to the ridge as the area is largely unmarked on most maps, but caution is advised for those trying other routes.

Come on out and try this backcountry adventure. Be sure not to forget the bear spray!
