Geocache Description:

This is a short nature walk on a gravel path until the last 75 feet.

This is the first cache placed in the sprawling Moss Creek community and our first cache. My family and I thought we should share this area to our fellow geocachers because we have seen so many beautiful things in the area that we would have missed if not for geocachers.

Recently the area has been named as a birdwatching site on (visit link) and has been featured in the Charlotte Observer (visit link) To Moss Creek residents this is a wonderful little evening walk with a chance to see rabbits, deer and of course birds. We hope you enjoy the journey and the destination. There are nature signs throughout the area so bring the family for a nice evening walk. If and when you find our cache you may like to walk another few steps beyond the cache and see Rocky River but watch your step because it's about 10 feet straight down.

You are looking for a camoed lock n lock box approx 1/2 gallon in size. This is a much easier find during the winter months with vegetation at a minimum.

As this is our first cache we welcome advice and critique. Please email my account if your comments are just for me and not your fellow cachers. My children, 11 y.o. boy and 5 y.o. girl, would love to hear about any adventure or animals you saw on the way to our cache.

NOTE: If you googlemap this cache it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere. The map is just old. You can park on the end of Marquette St on the cul de sac (N 35.429700, W 080.745040) and follow the gravel road (1/4 mile) until the last 75 feet. OR You can park at another cul de sac (N 35 25.987, W 080 44.816), miss the nature trail and walk only 1/10 mile.

EDIT: After a theft we have hidden the cache better, changed the difficulty up .5, and there's no camera anymore.
