ilze: Today early in the morning wanted to change the logbook, but appeared that the object, where the cache was hiddenn,is gone! As one of the values have dissapeared as well and this makes a bad mathematics - 1/2 is gone, am archieving this cache.

Geocache Description:

To get the final cache coordinates visit 3 places in Kandava.

N 57° 02.277 E 022° 46.571 - Kandava synagogue. The only information in internet I was able to find about this place was the postcard of this building that You can by in eBay for 50$. And it says that this stone building was constructed in 1880, reconstructed in 1937. Starting from 1950th these premises where not used for synagogue, there was already different purpose – on the facade You still can find title of this institution. You have to count letters of this title (not institution) – A

N 57° 02.186 E 022° 46.528 - Town square that long time ago was the market square. You have to find out how many horse owners together can come to the market – B (Each owner has one horse and horses do not like to share)

N 57° 02.132 E 022° 46.765 - And the last object will be Kandavas Powder Tower. From this place You can see other symbol of Kandava – the oldest stone bridge in Latvia – built in 1873. The Livonian Order castle ruins and Powder tower was built between 1253 and 1259 and the castle was inhabited until 1750 and after that time deteriorated and become uninhabitable. You have to find out length of any side of the powder tower (it is square). – C
