Geocache Description:

This cache is located in False Cape State Park. It is close to a main park road. No bushwhacking is necessary

Frogs are amphibians. There are over 5,000 species of these tail-less amphibians, although their numbers have been declining rapidly in the last half century. This cache is dedicated to the frog whose serious situation has resulted in the year 2008 being declared "The Year of the Frog" by coservation groups and aquariums world wide.

Note: There is no taxonomic justification for distinguishing between frogs and toads.

The cache is a medium sized camouflaged lock type container initially "full of frogs". It is located on "Lee Hill" in False Cape State Park. Lee Hill is named after a respected former park employee.

Frogmorton, which means "frog marsh", is, as Tolkien fans will recognize, a village in the Eastfarthing of the Shire.

Access to False Cape State Park, Virginia's Outer Banks, is obtained by hiking or bicycling through the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge or by boating across the Back Bay. Parking is available at the Back Bay Natinal Wild- life Refuge visitor center (3.3 miles from the False Cape State Park entrance) or at Little Island City Park (a Virginia Beach city park 5.1 miles from the state park entrance). Fees and access hours for these parking areas vary with the seasons
