else you can think of. The cookout dinner will be a hosted by us
with hot dogs, hamburgers, & all the fixin's being
provided.
Before you

the Geocoin Poker Tournament will be 2 unactivated trackable
geocoins.
Huntington Beach State Park is located just south of
beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC. Huntington Beach is home of the
historic Atalaya Castle and directly across the street from the
incredibly beautiful Brookgreen Gardens. Murrells Inlet just a
couple miles to the north is world renowned for its fine seafood
restaurants while Pawleys Island to the south is full of charming
little shops that will delight the ladies. The Grand Strand has
hundreds of hotels and in October they are very reasonably
priced.
Now with all that being said, on to the most important thing
about the Myrtle Beach area. It is CACHE CITY. There are well over
500 caches within 50 miles. The Grand Strand Geocachers are adding
about 25 new caches a month. If you haven't been to the area in a
few years you are in for a real treat.
Don't forget to bring your bicycles. Huntington Beach is very
bike friendly and has a beautiful newly paved, family friendly and
cache heavy bike path just outside the front gate. There are
several other caches inside the gates to the park. The picnic area
we are using is only a hundred yards or so to the beautiful beaches
of the Atlantic Ocean. There is also a wonderful campground in the
park for tents, motor homes, or travel trailers. Please plan to
spend the entire weekend.
KIDS CACHE BAG DECORATING CONTEST. Kids decorate up your
back pack with pins, stuffed animals stickers, patches or anything
you want. Just make it as cool as you can. You will get extra
points for unusual items in your cache. You must have in your cache
bag, extra log sheets, zip lock bags and a
flashlight.
If you do not
have an annual State Park Pass, it may cost you $5.00 per vehicle
to enter the main gate. If you have any questions please contact
Preacherspal, Llatnek, or Hologram21 thru
GC.com.
