Antelope Island State Park
Antelope Island State Park, the largest Island in the Great Salt Lake, is home to a roaming herd of 500 bison. Pronghorn, mule deer and bighorn sheep also share the rangelands that overlook the desert lake. Opportunities to view wildlife are plentiful. The are many trails open to hiking, biking and horse back riding that allow access to the backcountry. The Visitor Center/Gift Shop offers information on the island’s unique biology, geology and history. The historic, Fielding Garr Ranch features antique farm equipment, exhibit hall and ranch buildings. The park opens at 7 a.m. and closes at dark. Learn more about Antelope Island State Park.
The Cache
Search interpretive signs on the east side road for letters to two words. The letters then have to be unscrambled in order to give a hint to the last location. The letters are all found in the main text of the signs. This is a traditional cache so please leave trade items in the cache. Take a small souvenir and sign the log book. Stop back often to check for other souvenirs. This cache will offer special geocoins and “Friends” pins each week.
