Geocache Description:

A pleasant stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens, and a cache with a difference.

For an idea of the area, you can visit http://www3.hants.gov.uk/hampshire-countryside/staunton.htm

All walking is on gravel paths which remain mostly free of mud and water. It is just about possible to reach the cache in a wheelchair, but the terrain and slopes would make this very hard work.

On the south side of Middle Park Way is a large car park, near N 50 52.440 W 000 58.580, which serves the Staunton Country Park complex. Parking is charged at £2 and do watch out for the car park closing times to prevent your car becoming “locked in”.
There is plenty of free parking on nearby roadside verges.

Leading from this, is a “pay to enter” site containing a "rare and exotic breeds farm", a visitor centre, and an award winning ornamental garden/greenhouse complex. Although highly recommended, entry to this area is entirely optional and you will require at least an hour or two to properly look around it.

On the north side of Middle Park Way, opposite the car park, lays approx 1000 acres of landscaped parkland, ornamental lake, and woodland.
This is a "free to enter" area, has a tea-room and toilets, and is the location of this and several other caches.

If the main car park gates are closed then pedestrian access to the free area is possible at all times through a small metal gate slightly to the west of the main gates.

Walk through the park to N 50 52.749 000 58.776 W where you can find a micro sized container.
This container measures approx 4” x 1”, and contains the location of the final cache.

The final cache container is a well hidden ammo box.
