Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a series of caches which can be done as part of a circular walk from Dunblane to Kinbuck along the upper Allan Water. The cache is small round plastic container. It is possible to mountain bike most of this route.

Auchinlay Road is a single track tarmac road which runs from Dunblane to the B8033 at Kinbuck Bridge. The route is very popular with local walkers, cyclists and runners. The Auchinlays were crofts dating back to the 16th Century when they were part of the Cromlix estate. There are still small cottages – Auchinlay Holdings. Alternatively this cache can be done on its own, accessed from the single track Auchinlay Road. This is a short scenic drive from Dunblane to Kinbuck, or which you could continue on to Braco. There is no parking or access from the main A9. The cache is located at the bridge under the A9. The metal fence was erected to allow cattle to safely pass under the bridge. There is parking close to the cache, so it is a cache & dash if it's numbers you're after. When you have found the cache, go and speak to the friendly horses in the nearby field.
