This location is a boundary of sorts. Look west, and the flat expanse of the northern end of the Catlow Valley sits below. Look east to view the landscape of the lower Steens Mountain country.
There is a bit of a wide spot along the gravel road suitable for parking. Some walking is required. USE CAUTION WHEN POKING IN THE ROCKS; I HAVE SEEN RATTLESNAKES HERE. This is a wild horse area. THE STALLIONS CAN BE AGGRESSIVE SO GIVE THEM LOTS OF SPACE.
