"I" is for Islands. The I is from mwein's Vermont Vocabulary Virus and we are from the Islands
The Round Pond Natural Area is 170 acres of rolling hills that provide wonderful views of Mount Mansfield. It includes a critical lakeshore area and wetland that is home to nesting and migrating waterfowl and two rare plants: slender bulrush and pale vetchling. The Lake Champlain Land Trust, South Hero Land Trust, Vermont Land Trust, and the Nature Conservancy preserved this property on the Islands in 2001. The Natural Area is managed by the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources.
