This is a pretty easy roadside cache along the Tomahawk River not far from Hwy 51. There is a short but abrupt, sandy slope. The cache is found within the road right-of-way.
We planted this geocache for all those who travel Hwy 51 while living in or visiting our beautiful area. While this is meant to be just a quick find where you can swap swag and travel bugs, we hope that you will take a minute to stroll down and enjoy the view of the beautiful Tomahawk River from the bridge. Watch for bald eagles and other wildlife along this meandering waterway. North of this stretch lies the scenic Willow Flowage and the Tomahawk River Pines State Natural Area which are both great areas for canoeing, fishing and other water sports.
Please be sure to re-hide container exactly as you found it - cap side down. This helps keep water from leaking into the container. Thank You! Also, if you are looking for another cache nearby, check out Graska’s No Man’s Land Cache. It gives you a very cool, unusual perspective on Hwy 51.
