Geocache Description:

This is the ninth cache in the G4T50 series.

A new cache has been placed, in a slightly different location. Hopefully this will move it away from tiny muggles, and it may last longer.

This cache is placed In Honor Of lots of things, all of which are represented in this small area: folk art, urban parks, contemporary playgrounds, themed bird houses, dog walks, and early forms of communication. The trail in the area starts at Path to Urban Whimsy (GC1BAW8). After passing through a plethora of delightful sights, it ends in a neat area. Please be respectful of the usual players - and their suspicious parents. Raising kids is rough enough without having strange people hanging around.

It’s a nano, so bring a pen and nothing to trade. That will have to wait for another cache in the series.

You may read more about the G4T50 series at its first release, “G4T50 - FIRST chUUrch” (GC1DEEF).

Update 2015-11-06 The city has not maintained the artwork along Tweet Street, Almost all the unique birdhouses that lined this path are gone including the one that gave the cache its name. It's still a lovely little urban park and a nice place for a stroll, as long as you don't mind a busy freeway running alongside. The demise of the birdhouse at the cache has ruined the joke of the title - the birdhouse entrance was a cat's mouth. The pole that once supported the birdhouse still remains to hold the sign with the cache title in Spanish. It is now hidden by vegetation that has grown up. It is waist high on the pole.

Update 2019-09-08 Apparently the city has gone through Tweet Street and refurbished the birdhouses, including the one where the cache lives. So the joke of the title is still there. Now the city has also trimmed all the vegetation along Tweet Street, including around the 9th birdhouse. The sign, with the title in Spanish, is now easily visible. Please be careful putting the nano back - the sign is not magnetic, but the pole is - so make sure the nano is securely on the pole before letting go of it.

Update 2022-03-06 Well once again the undergfrowth has proliferated. The birdhouse is visible and in good shape. The sign, however, is hidden by the vegetation until you get in close. It seems best to come in from the left.
