Located on the Winniweta Falls Trail, Jackson NH. The trail is
accessible from Rte 16, about 3 miles from Jackson Center or while
XC skiing on JCC groomed trails.
You have to cross the Ellis River at the beginning of the trail.
During the summer, the water is usually very low. But during the
spring or after a lot of rain, this can be difficult and/or
unsafe.
The cache is a small ammo can, painted primer gray. Inside are: toy
binoculars, NH sticker, magnetic photo frame, luggage tag, mini
playing cards, whistle w/strap, "Olivia" backpack clip, "doink it"
badmiton game, NH magnet, sailor's wristlet and NH keychain.
Winniweta Falls are located in a beautiful area that is seldom
visited. Look for moose and other wildlife. If it is warm, wear a
bathing suit. The falls have many places to swim.
