Este es un micro cache puesto en honor a mi esposa y a su
familia quienes vivieron en las montañas de Villalba. Está
localizado aproximadamente a 1000 msnm (3300 pies snm), en la
carretera 143, entre Villalba y Orocovis, desde allí podrás divisar
tanto la costa sur y la costa norte de Puerto Rico. Mirando hacia
el sur podrás ver las montañas del municipio de Villalba,
incluyendo los embalses de Toa Vaca y Guayabal, en días despejados
puede verse la isla caja de muerto. Mirando hacia el norte podrás
divisar las montañas de Orocovis y la costa de Manatí y Vega Alta.
El cache contiene hoja de visitas, lápiz y una moneda de Colombia
como premio para el FTF. Cuando lo encuentres solo tienes que
desenroscarlo, no trates de soltar el cordón. Verifica que no se
salga el "O ring".
Este mirador es uno de los mejores lugares de la isla para
observar la grandeza de la geografía y el verdor y belleza de
Puerto Rico. Si vienen con niños, ellos podrán divertirse un buen
rato en el área de juegos mientras la familia descansa en uno de
los gazebos, si quieren comer algo hay dos buenos lugares cercanos
donde venden deliciosa comida criolla! Debes tener en cuenta el
horario para hacer la búsqueda de este cache ya que el mirador
abre de miércoles a domingo de 9:00 a.m a 5:00 p.m; y por
supuesto debes ser muy discreto pues siempre el lugar está lleno de
muggles.
Como llegar: En la PR-2 toma la salida 91 hacia Juana
Díaz – Villalba por la ruta 149 continua todo el tiempo hacia el
norte, hasta que encuentres la carretera 143 después de la
lechonera/gasolinera La divisoria. Debes tomar la 143 a la derecha
y continuar hasta encontrar el mirador Villalba-Orocovis. Debes
tener en cuenta que la carretera 149 tiene muchísimas curvas. Otra
manera un poco más rápida es llegar a Villalba por la carretera
149, entrar al pueblo y encontrar la carretera 151, esta tiene
menos curvas que la 149. Cuando ya casi estés en la máxima altura
encontrarás la carretera 143, debes tomarla a la izquierda y pronto
encontrarás el mirador Villalba-Orocovis.

This is a micro cache placed in honor of my wife and her family
that lived in the mountains of Villalba. It’s located approximately
at 1000 masl (3300 feet asl), in road 143, between Villalba and
Orocovis, since there, you will be able to see the south and north
coast of Puerto Rico. Towards the south you will see the mountains
of Villalba, including the water reservoirs of Toa Vaca and
Guayabal; in clear days is possible to see Isla Caja de Muertos.
Towards the north you will see the mountains of Orocovis and the
coast of Manatí and Vega Alta. The cache contains logsheet, pencil
and a Colombian coin as the FTF prize. When you find it, you
must to twist the cap, don't try to untie the knot. Make sure the
black "O ring" stays in position.
This lookout is one of the best places of the island to view the
greatness of geography and the green beauty of Puerto Rico. If you
come with children, they will be able to enjoy in the playground,
while the family rest in one of the gazebos, if you want to eat
something there are two good near places where you can get
delicious Puerto Rican food! You must consider the schedule
to make the search of this cache since the lookout is open to the
public from Wednesday to Sunday of 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m; and
of course you must be very discreet because the place is full of
muggles.
How to get there : In the PR-2 take the exit 91 towards
Juana Diaz - Villalba by road 149 continue to north, until you find
road 143 after the lechonera/gas station La divisoria. You must
take road 143 to the right and continue until the Villalba-Orocovis
lookout. Notice that road 149 has so many curves. Another a little
faster way is to arriving to Villalba by road 149, enter the town
and connect with road 151, this has less curves than the 149.
Almost at maximum elevation you will find road 143, take it to the
left and soon you will find the Villalba-Orocovis lookout.
