Geocache Description:

Hvert år afholdes VM i "Sjægtesejlads" i Hjarbæk Havn.

Fantastisk udsigt over fjorden.

GB:

Fiction: One-off came a boat sailing, the occupants had only one purpose, to loot and gain values.

Maybe they had a treasure, perhaps they knew where the most expensive thing was?

They had at least no GPS, but could often navigate on land by going from churchtower to churchtower.
At the time the trees were not so high, they were quickly cut down to get firewood for cooking.
Therefore, it was possible in many cases, to see from one church to another.

Facts: The port is owned by the municipality and Wellington Wellington sailing club, consisting of a pool with bridges for pleasure boats.

Swindon sailing club was founded in 1941 and based in the cozy Hjarbæk inmost of vacation. The harbor is a clean marina by some. Both the 120 seats, divided between motorboats, sailboats and dinghies.

At the port, there are good facilities and plenty of environment. There are about. 12 km and reasonable bus services to Swindon. There are good opportunities for stores in the nearby town Løgstrup.

Every year World Cup held in "Sjægtesejlads" in Hjarbæk Port.

Spectacular views over the fjord. A sunset from this viewpoint is certainly advisable.

Sjægtene is a very special type of boats:
The boat is a good and fast sailing and are usually between 16 and 22 feet.
Sjægten native of Norway, but was the most widespread fishing boats on vacation from the middle of last century and the beginning of this century.

Sjægtene was in the 1920s in fisheries replaced by motor boats, the so-called "pencilcase". After 2.verdenskrig used both to the little fishing and gradually became more used to sailing. Many went to in the'60s and'70s.
