Cache is well hidden within West Park Wildlife Sanctuary of Lawrence County. It has been placed with permission of the Lawrence County Conservation District. Paths are fairly well maintained and rated by the park as easy with a slope of 0-2 degrees.
We felt this park needed a cache as there were no traditional ones nearby and the park is a nice place to get away. Park is located near the New Castle airport. The is plenty of parking and also a restroom at the beginning of the trail head. Cache is located approx 0.2 miles from the parking lot.
You may want to bring bug spray depending on the season and there were quite a few jaggers [ha, Mick, get it? well, it's funny to a 7 year old] if you stray off the trail.
Congratulation to harp5666 for being the FTF! And they did it at night....talk about being hooked on geocaching. FTF received an assortment of semi-rare coins (George Washington dollar, Wheat penny, Bicentennial quarter, and some others.)
Good luck and happy hunting!
