Geocache Description:

How's this for a meet and greet fellow Ozark Mountain Geocachers?

The Meet and Greet and Eat then Float Event.

Where? Starting out in Lebanon, MO for a BYOB
(Buy your own breakfast). 0700 HRS that's AM.
Saturday September 20, 2008. The eat portion of
this event should end by 0800 HRS.

Why? There are some really good caches in the area.
Doesn't everyone enjoy these meet and greet events?

Like what? First there are many great RT 66 caches in
the area, fall is quickly approaching in late
September and the scenery that week could be
fantastic. It is expected that we will have a
better than average fall foliage with all of
the extra rain we have had this year.

In the title was also the word float........

What exactly does that mean?

Well how about after breakfast anyone who can bring their canoe or kayak departs the eat for an assault on the Osage Fork of the Gasconade float trip!

There are three caches that will be completed and that can only be found with either a canoe or kayak.

1. Osage Fork of the Gasconade GCWXPF by SterlingConnie

2. Fried Disemboguement GC1DJC3 by Fried Okra

3. Cache and Release GC1F8KC by SterlingConnie

This will be a team effort float trip with fellow cachers who can float the river. I do not have canoes or kayaks to loan out. If you are planning to go and have an extra seat in your float for a fellow cacher or a spare canoe please post the availability in your logs. If you don't have a float but want to go please post your desire to attend. Who knows what availability is out there? This is an all day event and will require completing a 9 mile float trip on the river to recieve credit for this event. We will arrange canoe drop off and cacher take out carpooling to start and finish the event based on the number of participants we have that show up at the "Eat" portion of this event, this is the second most important part of our planning. Bring what supplies you will need for the day. Like water and food and appropriate CITO gear. Once again this is an all day event, only those who complete the float will recieve credit for this event. We will follow the float trip instructions as posted in the three caches above. I am really looking forward to this float! Hope to see as many of you that can, make it...

Gredgeman & Tagalong Lynn
