Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the Connie Sue Highway. It was build by Commonwealth surveyor, Len Beadell, and he named it after his daughter. It traverses very remote desert country, and is best travelled from May through to September.

This is a rectangular aluminium can, and has only room in it for the mini notebook and cache note.

The name highway is extremely misleading as the trip traverses bush tracks that are often very narrow and twisty. Much of the trip is over red sand, however you will experience road surfaces from fairly hard and packed to very soft. The track is badly corrugated for much of its length.

There is a permit that you will have to obtain, so do your homework before you travel. There is plenty of advice and information available on the internet.

This is not a trip for those under prepared. It is dangerous isolated uninhabited desert, but an interesting trip nevertheless. Your vehicle must be a 4WD, in top running order. Preferably travel with other vehicles, with either HF radio or a sat phone for emergency communications.

The area where the cache is located is one of the few campsites in the area, with plenty of firewood.
