Purdue Technology Center of Southeast Indiana
Come walk the paved trails of the new Purdue University technology park. The newly opened, 40,000-square-foot Purdue Technology Center of Southeast Indiana has been built by the Purdue Research Foundation on 40 acres of land donated by the Shine family. The newly finished building contains 18,000 square feet of business incubator offices, an economic development office and an office for Purdue's Technical Assistance Program. Purdue's College of Technology will use the remaining space for classrooms, labs and faculty offices. The surrounding land will eventually become a technology park.
The benefit for cachers is that the 40 acres has been circled with walking paths leading to several ponds and bridges over a dry (for now) stream. In the last several weeks I’ve seen numerous Canadian Geese, frogs hiding under the lily pads in the pond, deer tracks in the mud created by construction and the heard the cry of hawk as it dived onto something out in the field.
