5 FBs in NB Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Bumbler: Went to check on the cache today and decided it would be best all round to archive the cache. Retreived the cache box and will reuse the goodies in a new cache.

Geocache Description:

A circular walk of around 1.5 miles starting in North Bradley with views of Westbury white horse and the cement works chimney.

The full title of this cache is "Five Footbridges in North Bradley" and came about because I was looking at the local OS map and noticed 5 FBs marked on the map in a rougly circular arrangment so I thought I could turn them into a multi-cache. One of the bridges marked on the map is pointless - you'll see what I mean when you get there. You will also cross other footbridges, but only those marked on the OS map are used in this listing. Below is an extract of the map with the marked bridges highlighted.

The posted coordinates are for the suggested parking. From there head to WAYPOINT 1 and then to BRIDGE 1.

BRIDGE 1
This question is multiple choice. Take the number next to the correct answer and let this be B1.

What is this bridge constructed from?
1 - Wood
2 - Brick
3 - Metal

From here head to BRIDGE 2.

BRIDGE 2
B2 = Number of vertical wooden posts holding up the handrails.

From here head to BRIDGE 3.

BRIDGE 3
This question is multiple choice. How wide (the measurement that is parallel to the water flow) is the bridge in metres and let this be B3.
1 metre
2 metres
3 metres

From here head to Bridge 4. There are two ways of doing this. One is to head directly there, but you will need to cross a single wire strand metal fence (that is in fact broken in places) or continue to the road. Turn left at the road (be careful here as it can be a fast road and is on a bend. There is space to walk on the verge without any problems) and head to WAYPOINT 2 before heading to BRIDGE 4.

BRIDGE 4
Depending on which way you come from BRIDGE 3 this will be either the first or the second bridge you come to. This question refers to the non-wooden bridge and is multiple choice. Take the number next to the correct answer and let this be B4.

What is the shape of the hole under the bridge through which the water flows?
1 - Arched
2 - No special shape (i.e. a simple platform bridge)
3 - Circular

From here head to BRIDGE 5.

BRIDGE 5
B5 = Number of horizontal metal bars.

The final location is at:

N 51 17.(B3) (B4+B5) (B2) W 2 12.(B3) (B1) (B5-B1)

To return to the car head to WAYPOINT 1.
