Open walking with elevation change. Site of former Mount Senario College Athletic Fields. Relatively easy find, no need to venture too far into the brush--caution as it drops off steeply.
These former Mount Senario College MSC)athletic fields are owned by the City of Ladysmith, and await use by a future school or potential development. MSC closed in 2002, after enduring financial difficulties, the fields were acquired by the City as part of plan to keep the school going. Huck Ohlfs was a long time City resident and an enthusiastic supporter of MSC athletics. The football field was named in his honor. The remainder of the school property is owned privately and plans are in the works to revive it as an educational facility.
Park on the road, or on the access road leading into the fields.
