Geocache Description:

Shellbraes is the location of an early 19th century stone lime kiln which was built to produce agricultural lime to improve soil fertility for the nearby farmland.

The kilns are a Grade II Listed Building but to find the cache you need to continue down the bridleway a little way.

Don’t forget to shut the gate into the site – or just go around it, as there’s no fence!!

Please make sure the cache is securely in place when you put it back.
