Geocache Description:

Located on the west side of the Sparta Glen area, a big cache challenge. How hard could it be?

Follow the trail up the hill from the second parking area (the one just past the barrier gate). When you hit the top, turn left and follow the wide trail to a more narrow less well distinguished trail. Follow this until you see an old stone wall and you are in the neighborhood.

Placing this cache nearly killed me but it should be much easier for you to find. It is called "Monster" for a reason and it's not that its scary.

This is not too tricky of a hike up until the final 200 feet. At that point, you will be doing a bit of a rock scramble up to the final location so proceed carefully to the hide spot. On rainy days, these rocks are slick. Once you find the cache, please take the time to replace as you found.

The cache is somewhat of a mutant ammo can which can handle very large objects. There are some very neat trade objects in the cache but please remember to trade for equal value to keep some neat objects in the cache for future traders. There are even a few plastic caches inside for trade - I've learned that I cannot use plastic as the bears eat them so if you're not from Sussex County, please feel free to trade for these items.

Enjoy!
