This cache lies on top of a low lying ridge on the border between
Tokyo and Saitama. It makes for a pleasant day hike in the midst of
a the forest of Totoro but not very far from civilization.

このキャッシュは東京と埼玉の県境にある山の上に位置しています。都心から程近いトトロの森の中で楽しい日帰りハイキングとなるでしょう。
Searching for this cache will take you to the location where the famous Samurai general Nitta Yoshisada raised his banner during the campaign that ultimately ended the Kamakura Shogunate. It was the year 1333 and Nitta and his army had been already fighting for two years when they reached Hachikokuyama. They looked down upon the army of the Shogun from the ridge above the plains below. Soon afterwards, Nitta would triumph after he marched to Kamakura defeating the Hojo clan who controlled the city of the Shogun.
このキャッシュを探しに行くと、侍大将 新田義貞が鎌倉幕府を滅ぼした戦で旗を掲げた地も訪れることができます。時は1333年、新田と彼の率いる軍隊が八国山にたどり着いた時には既に戦いは2年に及んでいました。新田軍は山頂から幕府軍を見下ろしました。その後すぐに新田は鎌倉幕府軍へ攻め入り、幕府の実権を握っていた北条一族を打ち破り、勝利を収めることになります。
Following the path on the summit of the Hachikokuyama ridge, the coordinates given will get you to the monumental stele commemorating the location that Nitta raised his banner in 1333. The stele is located on a mound about 2 meters high. Since there are usually muggles about, a brief trek is required from here.
八国山の山頂の歩道を進んで行くと、座標には、1333年に新田が旗を掲げた地の記念碑がたっています。記念碑は高さ約2mの小さな丘の上にあります。マグルがうろついていますので、ここからは少々トレッキングが必要です。
The cache is a locked plastic container with a log book, a pen, and some trinkets. Make sure to sufficiently hide it. Oh by the way, during the rainy warm months, there are mosquitoes everywhere. Make sure you are adequately protected.
