Geocache Description:

This is our third cache and they all seem to be developing the theme of being close to water. This one was named as our daughter managed to fall in the canal as we moored to hide the cache.

The cache is hidden close to the aqueduct that takes the Lancaster Canal some 22 feet over the River Brock. The aqueduct itself was built in 1797 by John Rennie and is a beautiful place to visit as part of a walk or cruise along the canal. The cache site is only a short walk from "O'wd Nells" in Bilsborrow and is a great excuse to walk off a few pints after a nice lunch!! However, take care as the path to the river is slippy and muddy when wet!

It is a one litre box in a clear snap-seal bag and was well stocked with treasure and a Sting-Ray TB. Please try to keep it this way as the kids love to find "nice treasure".

The path that leads to the cache is well walked and Myerscough college backs onto the river so please be careful when attempting the cache as it can be very popular with those pesky muggles!!!!
