Geocache Description:

Not far from City Island in Harrisburg is another piece of "waterfront property" fondly referred to by the locals as "Party Island." It's hard to see this place and not start singing "Redneck Yacht Club" by Craig Morgan because you will often see dozens of pontoons moored together with grills, volleyball nets, floating bars, and of course, loud music.

You will need a watercraft to reach this cache. Do so at your own risk with close monitoring of safe river levels in relation to your skill and experience on the water. This cache should not be attempted during any unsafe river forecasts. This cache is meant for those hot summer days when the river is lazy so please know your limitations and stay on shore when you feel you're not up for this water challenge. (Taken verbatim from Perryzip's Lady Liberty cache - thanks!)

Get to Party Island by whatever means you have at hand (canoe, kayak, pontoon, jetski, etc.). Once there, the cache won't be too hard to find. If it's a weekend and the weather is nice, there will absolutely be muggles around. They shouldn't be a problem, though, because they stay near their boats, and you're going inland. Be careful following googlemaps, because it may increase the difficulty of the hike.

Please be careful not to break any of the camo pieces, and rehide exactly as you found it. If it's not concealed and muggles find it, it may be next summer before I can do maintenance on it. Hopefully it'll weather the occasional high water we get around here.

CONGRATS TO MOSAICMAMA AND DOCDITTO FOR CO-FTFs!! I know it wasn't very nice of me to hide this cache on the traditional last day of summer (Labor Day), but that's just when it worked out that I had the time, means, and GPS all at the same time. There are still a few more good weekends in '08 before it'll get too cold.
