Geocache Description:

A somewhat steep climb up to a great view of the Madison River and surrounding area.

Ever since GCHY7C Two Tips was archived I've wanted to make a new cache at the final location of that multi-cache. I was one of the last people to find the Two Tips cache, but I wasn't the last entry in the log book. Hikers have stumbled upon the container and made entries in the log book. Because of that I've changed the location of the container, which is an ammo can. It's a few yards away from that "Tip", but I strongly suggest you climb up there to check out the breathtaking view.

The starting point is approximately 2.5 miles off of Highway 84 down a pretty good gravel road. The last 100 yards is a two track road that I wouldn't recommend taking low clearance vehicles on.

Once your at the starting point there are multiple ways to get to the cache, some harder and faster then others. If you take the easier way the round trip to the cache will be about a mile. You're going to have about 450 to 500 feet of elevation change, but no matter which way you go there is lots and lots of cactus. I would recommend leaving your four legged furry friends at home. We spent all evening picking thorns out of the paws of our GeoMinPins.

Two Tips recommended doing this cache in the winter, so I'm going to add that too. Two Tips also had a warning about rattlesnakes. I've been to this spot a few times and haven't seen any signs of snakes, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. Please be careful.
