Sludge_Shoveler: I retrieved the cache and the cachestick today at about 1 PM. Both were where I placed them. The only thing I can say about the two DNF's yesterday is that sometimes things are lookin' up! One needed to pick the cache like an apple.

Anyway I hope everyone had fun with this cache. It worked out well, so I may be using the same cache container somewhere else.

Cache Rich Geocoin is logged into this cache but the coin was not in the cache when I picked it up.

Geocache Description:

This cache will be archived on or about January 1, 2009!

According to the Cache Listing Requirements/Guidelines, caches "that have the goal to move (“traveling caches”), or temporary caches (caches hidden for less than 3 months or for events) most likely will not be published."

This is a "permanent" cache intended to remain at its current location for three months plus one day. Thus the name: Quarterly Cache.

This Quarterly Cache is located in a vacant lot in an office park. Parking should not be a problem. This cache is not recommended for night caching, but is available at night.

This cache will be available from Mid-September until early January 2009. Then it will be archived.

I intend to place another Quarterly Cache in the greater Lansing area when this one is archived. This should provide local cachers with new challenges, in new interesting locations.

While this cache is a large pill bottle with room for only small trade items, future Quarterly Caches may take other forms, regular, multi, puzzle, micro, maybe even a nano.
