Geocache Description:

Level red granite surface until you reach the cache location then you'll need to leave the trail to make the grab!

Welcome to another one of my favorite spots on the Bearskin Trail. You can park at: N45 41.787/W089 40.380. Look around! This is where I put in my kayak and paddle the Bearskin Creek to where it ends at the Tomahawk River. These parking cordinates will take you within a mile of the cache location.

Beaver Haven! From this overlook you can see the variety of terrain along the Bearskin Trail and observe one of the trail's unique features- Beavers, their dams & lodges.

The Bearskin trail is part of the rails to trails program. There is no cost to walk on the trail, but, if biking you will need to purchase a trail pass. This is one of the places I like to stop for a break while biking the trail.

Take a moment to listen to the sound of the moving water, and don't forget to watch for seasonal berries along the trail. The cache is just beyond the observation deck where the ground begins to level out.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Steve Peterson of the Wisconsin DNR.
