Zor's Aveo Adventure
This series of caches is inspired by a recent accidental drive
through the dirt roads of Albert County.
One day, while out caching for the afternoon, I decided that I
had had enough and was ready to return home. Knowing full well
where I was, I decided to punch in Pine Glen Rd into my GPS to see
how far it was from my current location. The GPS calculated a route
and for a lack of anything better to do, I decided to follow
it.
This series of ten caches takes you along the same route I went
that day. Now, keep in mind, I don't own a 4x4 and my car is a tiny
yellow Aveo that is probably the last thing you should be driving
on roads like this. Needless to say, it was an entertaining drive
home.
Knowing how many caches there are out in Albert County, with the
infamous X and all, I was surprised to see a lack of caches along
this route. So, I marked where I was and said I would return with
some caches so that others could enjoy the route as well.
This cache was placed just past one of the rails to trails
caches.
All of the caches in this series are 50cal ammo containers
filled with the usual goodies. I tried to stock the tradeables as
best as I could but my supply is running low right now. All the
caches are located less than 100m from the road, and there is mild
to medium bushwhacking required.
BE WARNED!!! There is a lot of tree/bush cover for most of the
caches in this series so GPS accuracy will vary depending on where
you are, and the unit you have. You'll need to be a bit more
patient finding these.
Happy hunting!
