Geocache Description:

This cache is in a rare beaver swamp near the Cohutta Wilderness - rare that it is at such an elevation. Lot's of interesting foliage and wildlife abound. Congrats to ELJLYLE for FTF!!!

There are over 100 species of birds living here along with some big tailed mammals. Many old growth trees are here in this area. Forest service roads will get you close, but foot travel will get you to the cache. The trail you will follow is lightly used, but maintained and has signs along the way.

Follow the path to my first waypoint after parking - and then continue on the trail. You will find a sign with lots of helpful info to get you closer - you don't want to try and cross-country hike this one!!! Follow the trail!!

FTF will get my usual yellow jeep signal pin.

Small note: As required by the USFS for caches hidden in the Chattahoochee National Forest the cache is prominantly labeled as a geocache and the label includes the GC1G1Q5 waypoint number and the owner's e-mail address. Enjoy!
