Geocache Description:

A quick and easy find within sight of the road. You are looking for aammo can. This cache location overlooks the St. Regis valley and beautiful Clark Fork River. Keep a close eye on small children, the terrain below the road is very steep and the river is a long way down. The cache should be obvious to your geosense. Let me know if the coordinates are way off and please trade fair. Happy caching!

For you historical buffs...the peninsula below was once the site of the Anaconda Lumber Company built in 1897 and running until 1914. From the cache site, the only evidence left of the mill are the bridge pylons in the river. Some of the home owners have recycled the bricks from the tall "tepee burner" that was used to burn up scrap material. There are a few pieces of concrete foundation still in existence but the whole peninsula is privately owned now. Information courtesy of the Mineral County Historical Society.
