Geocache Description:

Fishing?

A lot of people hear the word fishing, and assume that with a rod and bait, you can catch a fish. In the oilpatch, there is another type of fishing. The concept is the same, but you don’t get to eat the catch.

I work for a local wireline company. We do fishing jobs almost daily. When the downhole tools get stuck, we go in and try to unstuck them. Fish them out of the hole.

I have made this cache a mystery cache, so here is the game to play.

You will need to research the line of work I am in. The only thing you will need to find is the TWO standard sizes of wireline used. There are many sizes of line, but you are looking for the two most commonly used sizes.

NOW...

Use the posted coordinates as the starting point.

Call the Larger line A
Smaller line B

For the Northing, the formula is…

(A x 3) + (B x 3)

With your answer, please subtract from the Northing

For the Westing, the formula is…

(A x 4) - (B x 2)

With your answer, please subtract from the Westing.

With this math, you should arrive at my place of business. I have been given full permission to have this micro hidden on premises, but please be courteous and hunt for it after business hours. Thanks.

FTF went to 4 Paws and Felicitas, nice work ladies!

I do not know how to use evince, so if you need verification, I check my email at least 6 times daily. I made the math simple enough….I think, that no hint or help should be needed. Good luck, happy caching.
