Geocache Description:

Another cache in the Landmark Journey series. No, the cache is not in Michigan, but maybe you will be inspired to visit the landmark featured below.

This landmark, located in Battle Creek, Michigan, pays homage to the world's leading producer of cereals, the Kellogg Company. Battle Creek used to be a popular tourist destination, in part because the Kellogg factory tours. When these ceased in 1986, tourism dropped considerably. In 1998, Cereal City opened and the glockenspiel tower pictured below was built. Part amusement park and part simulated cereal production line, Cereal City lasted until 2007, at which time the company threw in the towel and closed up shop. The glockenspiel tower remains, however, and can be found SW of the Cereal City buildings, near the river. Thanks to pairomedicchick for the suggestion on the landmark.

When you find the cache, take note of the information at the top of the log. You’ll need this information, along with information from the rest of the series of Landmark Journey caches, to find the coordinates for the final Landmark Journey cache. If you are not interested in finding the final puzzle cache, you can ignore this information and treat this as a stand-alone traditional cache.
