Geocache Description:

Generally a year round cache located a few minutes drive from Battleford. Cache is located near a Bridge over the Battle River. The location being within a stones throw of the site of the trenches dug by Lt Col W.D Otter of the North West Mounted Police as a preparation against raids by the Local Indian population around 1885. The cache is a 2 litre container in a Black Plastic Rubbish Bag. Located near water so therefore caution should be exercised if you are taking children. A bit of Bug Spray also wouldn't go amiss. At time of placing I had about a 6 metre accuracy. So before any moans about accuracy of placement - bear in mind that the cache is surrounded by trees which do deflect GPS signals somewhat as well as some interference from the bridge. When placed - the coordinates were verified numerous times by more than one GPS unit and if you don't like a little challenge then this one is best left alone. Trade items must be of equal or greater value - not junk or Happy Meal Toys. This is in consideration for others who wish to trade and in fairness to those who have placed items of value. If this can't be done then Don't Trade! Be sure to sign the log book and only do this cache if you intend on logging your visit online also - other may be interested and it adds to the game. Also, please ensure cache is properly rehidden.
