Geocache Description:

Well, I needed an 'X' cache for the ABC challenge, and the X-Men comics came to mind. I can't say I've read a lot of the comics but definitely like the movies.

Any discussion of the X-Men has to start with Charles Francis Xavier. The professor has amazing telepathic powers and is the founder of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. Created in 1963 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Professor X is a proponent of peaceful acquisition of mutant rights. Obviously inspired by Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement at that time, the physical representation of Professor was actually patterned after Yul Brenner.

I wish I could say the cache is loaded with X-Men swag, but I'll have to look for that later, as I had nothing on hand. The container is a medium size peanut butter jar, so some items will fit. I've tossed in a jcurtis55 wooden nickel to start.

This cache is behind the new Stafford Crossing strip mall. You do not need to cross the fence to find the cache.
